Hello, Gerrity 215 Members and Community Partners:

It is my pleasure to announce the Air & Space Forces Association Texoma Regional Conference. The Conference will be held from 29-31 July in Bricktown at the Hilton Garden Inn (see schedule of events below) and registration is open.

Our Gerrity 215 is the host chapter and we will be celebrating our Air Force’s 75th birthday. Please bring your thoughts, comments and suggestions to the conference but if you can't be there simply email me.

This event will showcase what our Texoma Region is doing to promote Air & Space in Oklahoma. Our Regional President, Janelle Stafford, along with help from our State President, Dan “Ohno” Ohnesorge, and others have put together a great program that includes; outstanding speakers such as our AFA Chairman, Gerald Murray; our National President, Bruce “Orville” Wright; the Oklahoma City Air Logistics Complex Commander Maj Gen Jeff King; and the current National President of the Logistics Officers Association (LOA), Col Jason Kalin.

The theme for the conference is “Happy 75th Birthday to the U.S. Air Force!” Help us support that theme by sending Janelle any active duty photos you may have as soon as possible. If you didn’t serve in the Air/Space Force, send us your photos anyway; we embrace the “Total Force” concept and hope to see our civilian members, Guard and Reserve Forces. The pics will be used for banquet table decorations and possibly additional showings. Please email them directly to Janelle Stafford.

I'm hoping that you can find the time to join the discussion and help the chapter and the AFA Texoma region become more successful with our mission as we face unprecedented times in our country.

Tentative Schedule of Events

Friday 29 July
Casual Attire

• 9 am - AFA Golf Outing at the Golf Course of Edmond, 4001 Fairfax Drive, Edmond, OK 73034. Cost is $40 for green fees and cart (senior rate). Golfers will pay at the golf course. RSVP directly to Mark Tarpley

• TBA - Optional Tours for spouses and guests

• 4 pm - Hospitality Room opens at Hilton Garden Bricktown

• 6-9 pm – Welcome and Ice-Breaker Social at Crabtown Restaurant, ½ block west of  the hotel. Heavy hors d’oeuvres and cash bar.  

Saturday 30 July
Business Casual Attire for meeting
Coat & Tie/Cocktail Attire for dinner

• 7-8 am - Breakfast in Hospitality Room
  For all attendees: coffee, juice, muffins and pastries, fruit, yogurt, etc. The hotel restaurant will be open to purchase other breakfast items, if desired.

• 8 am–4 pm – Business meeting at conference room. Hilton Garden Inn  

  • 12-1:30 pm – Lunch served in the conference room. Guest Speaker: AFA National Board Chairman, Gerald Murray

  • 2:30–4 pm - Regional breakout meetings 

• 4-5:30 pm - Hospitality room open

• 5:30 pm - Cocktails in the Banquet Room
  (same area as business meeting room)

• 6-8 pm - Conference and Awards Banquet

  • Guest Speaker: Maj Gen Jeff King, Commander, Oklahoma City Air Logistics Complex

  • Cake Cutting and Closing Remarks:

  • Silent Auction Closes at the Conclusion of the Banquet
