About Our Chapter

The Central Oklahoma Gerrity Chapter is part of a large network of Air & Space Forces Association chapters throughout the United States, Europe and Asia, dedicated to United States dominance in air, space and cyberspace, a strong national defense, and support for the Air Force and Space Force “Total Force” family.  To accomplish our mission, we undertake a number of programs and projects to Educate, Advocate and Support.  While the mission is national in scope, how each chapter carries out that mission is individualized to best serve the area in which it operates.  For the Central Oklahoma Gerrity Chapter, these include:

• STEM Education initiatives such as CyberPatriot, StellarXplorer, and STARBASE Oklahoma.

• Advocating at the national, state and local level, and working closely with base leadership, aerospace and defense community members, and in partnership with the Arnold Air Society, AFROTC, AFJROTC, Civil Air Patrol, and Tinker Home Away from Home.

• Supporting our Airmen and their Families through back-to-school projects, family days, volunteering at on-base holiday events, sponsoring the POW/MIA Vigil and 5K Race, contributing to the Tinker Airman and Family Readiness Center, and more.

We are proud of the fact that our chapter has been recognized for its good work!  We maintain a strong state, regional and national presence within the AFA organization, and have been recognized as the 2022-2023 Outstanding Extra Large Chapter of the Year.    

The Air & Space Forces Association is open to all who consider themselves part of the Air and Space Forces community: active duty and retired airmen/guardians and family members, civilians, and businesses who support the Air & Space Forces missions, as well as numerous civic and community groups and organizations.  The Gerrity Chapter meets on the second Tuesday of every month at 5pm at the American Legion / VFW located at 5000 SE 24th Del City.
